Michael Moore’s ‘Capitalism: A Love Story’ – ‘You Be Squatters in Your Own Home’
Get ‘Capitalism: A Love Story’ on DVD: tinyurl.com “Don’t leave your home. Because you know what? When those companies say they have your mortgage, unless you have a lawyer that can put his or her finger on that mortgage, you don’t have that mortgage, and you are going to find they can’t find the paper up there on Wall Street. So I say to the American people, you be squatters in your own homes. Don’t you leave. In Ohio and Michigan and Indiana and Illinois and all these other places our people are being treated like chattel, and this Congress is stymied.” — Rep. Marcy Kaptur, ‘Capitalism: A Love Story’ “On behalf of this family and this community, we liberate this home for this family. Cut the sign down!” — Max Rameau, ‘Capitalism: A Love Story’ “… sometimes revolutions begin in unlikely places.” — Michael Moore, ‘Capitalism: A Love Story’ Or a likely place like www.michaelmoore.com

@missgotit818 So sad? What the fuck is wrong with you? If they actually had a legitimate health problem that didn’t allow them to work, then yeah, it might be sad. That’s clearly not the case. They’re sorry ass niggers who want free and refuse to work. If you’re not proud to be an American, then get the fuck out of this country you fucking schmuck.
Oh for Christ’s sake. Take that house back from those sorry niggers. They don’t deserve shit. If that fat ass momma of theirs would get off her lazy ass and work, maybe they would be able to afford something. If you don’t work, you don’t eat. That’s the basis that this country was founded on, and I know you don’t like it, but you don’t like history either. You don’t even know the differnce between Ghengis Khan and Chaka Khan. Fuck all you damn liberals who feel sorry for these pieces of trash.
its funny this film is a contradiction in itself…how much does moore net on these films..is he dispersing his money anywhere using people in his film for who he does not pay
so sad i hate our government used to be proud to be an american untill the system works for the people im not proud to be an american
@Coelacanth1938 damn right
The irony is that Hollywood loves to rail against capitalism, greed & the profit motive, but many of their problems can be traced to the greed of people in Hollywood itself.
@jessecullen1
As said by St. Basil the Great?
@anythung22 right on brother, i’m heart broken for folks like this, bless you for your humanity
@Coelacanth1938 lololol
go for it
@hillexallen I mean shut them down and bust them up and let somebody else have a chance to run things since Wall Street can’t chew gum and walk at the same time.
Yeah, bomb Wall Street. Who do you think I am? A Timothy McVeigh loving Teabagger?
@Coelacanth1938 you mean bomb wall street?
It’s great to see community involvement in times of distress it just too bad that this community involvement is to no expense of their own. It’s easy to stand up when it costs you nothing. Where was the community when the homeowners were receiving months and months default notices?
Take the 7 Billion and pay the morgages of these people and then you will have a happy and FREE America!!!!
@anythung22 Obama’s trying to make it a law that the banks have to let the homeowners switch to a 30 year fixed low rate morgue. before they can foreclose on them but it’s being fought tooth and nail by the greedy banks. I wonder what would happen if a couple hundred of people showed up on congress demanding this be bill be past. hey Michael your a Millionaire feel like renting out a couple of buses for us……..?
That guy’s thinking F**K I won’t be able to sell this home for a profit now……….?
What the hell gives bankers the right to forclose on someones home for lack of payments etc. when the banking industry itself is in debt to the people of America.
The Democrats (including Obama) are as much to blame as the Republicans for this debacle. Webster Tarpley has pointed out how Obama has spent 30 times more on bank “bailouts” as he has on social service programs such as food stamps and unemployment insurance benefits.
That man is a monster. Remember prisons can only hold so many people. That’s why those cops couldn’t arrest all those people. Where were they going to put them?
Property is theft!
92,000+ bank repossessions in April 2010 in the USA … the phrase “something needs to be done” comes to mind

@taosimplicity Wouldn’t that be wonderful! Realistically we ought to DEMAND legislation making universal healthcare and housing in our country a guaranteed public service or else abolish the Income Tax and eliminate the IRS. TAXATION WITHOUT BASIC HEALTHCARE AND HOUSING IS TYRANNY. WHERE ARE ALL THE FUCKING BLOWHARD PATRIOTS AND TEABAGERS WHEN WE REALLY NEED THEM?
@shellgamer Oh, and by the way I meant this as a one time deal. Everyone owns the apartment, house, duplex or whatever they live in without further payment. Suddenly everyone would own property and would have immediate capital to trade or sell. It’s really a miracle of an idea. Why no one has thought of it I don’t know. The economy would boom over night. Everyone would own their businesses and homes.
@shellgamer taosimplicity If once, just once the government would pass a law that would allow people to OWN the houses that they have mortgages on without further payment and people who are homeless could move into abandoned housing and claim it for their own, the economy would take off like a rocket. Everyone would own property and that would be the most efficient form of redistribution without the need of welfare. 1 second ago
